How about a redo of the Pilot Point ride we did a few years ago on Memorial Day? Pilot Point is about 1 hour north of Dallas and has really nice rolling hills through horse farm country. We cross the Ray Roberts Dam on the way back in. There is a 53.6 mile (1524 ft climbing) and a 38.4 mile (1125 ft climbing) loop from the square. There will be NO SAG support, so come prepared with food, water, and stuff to fix a flat or mechanical. There are two stops at convenience stores. We plan to stop at Fuzzy’s Tacos on the way back home (11450 Hwy 380 Cross Roads, TX). 9 am sharp roll out! There are no bathrooms on the square, so stop on the way.
The Greater Dallas Bicyclists and White Rock Roadies are also invited, so there will be some half bikes to harass as well:)) GPS routes will be sent out in another email soon.
It should be warmer this time around as compared to the last time we rode out of Pilot Point which was February of 2016.
